Hello and welcome to our webpage, thank you for taking the time to read what we are hoping to achieve.

My name is Gail Vickers and I am chair person for the group, at present we are just a small committee but we are hoping for more volunteers to come and join us.

We are hoping to really tidy up the village and bring colour by replanting planters, making flower beds and displays and general tidying up our area.

We are also hoping to promote the village businesses by sponsorships of our tubs and flower beds to bring awareness to them and help their businesses in our current financial climate.

We are entering the Yorkshire in Bloom competition this coming April and kindly need your help, we know people have little time on their hands and commitment of weekly gardening parties is a lot to ask of some people but we are trying a different approach and asking villagers to contribute by adopting an area, even if only small, and maintaining it by just general weeding and sweeping in the hope that this will bring people together and take pride in the village and bring our village to the standard of other villages in the competition.
